Ask me anything
That’s the phrase that I’m most used to as a military spouse. TBD. To be determined. No word yet. Still waiting to hear.
You just live waiting, ready, on the balls of your feet, in anticipation of the official nod when you can finally spring into action.
That’s us last week when we finally got word that husband can take leave time soon. Finally! Yes! And like any sane person we go ahead and make plans and purchase plane tickets and make hotel reservations.
But guess what, the USMC isn’t sane, and it likes to play games with our hearts. So, six days after we got the green light, the USMC gave us the reverse light, just days before we’re supposed to leave.

$%#&*!
Our leave dates got pushed back.
That means tomorrow I get the joy of calling up the airlines and hotels and changing our reservations (and paying the added fees).
Bah-humbug! I’m grateful for a vacation together, but I’d rather spend my money on adventures than ticket change fees.
